This is a first blog on how to setup a Grails project with IDEA, and then mavenize it. The latter step could be useful to those like myself use Maven for continuous integration. The last part of this blog will be to deploy the grails project into Tomcat.
Here are the prerequisites to create a Grails project managed by Maven.
IntellijIDEA version 9.0
Maven 2.0.9
Grails 1.2.0

Hi everyone
My name is Patria Lukman and a Java consultant based in Montreal, Canada. This is my first posting on my company’s blog and my intent is to share my experiences with various subjects in software development like Agile, Test development driven, Spring, GWT, etc.
I’m currently developing a open source project for consultants like myself who more often than not, found ourselves in a situation where we need to keep track of our communication with recruiting companies and alike. Sure, email can help but it’s a bit messy at this time to manage the status, details etc when I’m contacted by a recruiter.
So, stay tuned as I’ll be giving updates on the project on a regular basis, work load permitted.
Feel free to drop some comments!
